Officer Domestic Payments

Job Summary

  • To assist Domestic Payments with salary and other Payment activities.
  • Conduct pre-processing checks on transactions and post transactions entries in line with agreed operational and service standards. 
  • Ensure “end to end” processing of Book Transfer, NEFT Inflows and other domestic transactions on the various platforms. Investigation of entries relating to domestic payments. Ensure delivery of quality service.
  • Support processing and handling of government collection transactions.  

Key Responsibilities

  • NGN Transfers Inward and Outward
  • Raise and post all entries relating to Domestic Payment transactions and ensure appropriate approvals and authorisation for all posted entries.
  • Received and record manual instruction.
  • Conduct pre-processing checks ensuring compliance with operational procedures and regulatory controls.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed in a manner which meets agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the Business.
  • Process outward NEFT transaction as per approved DOI.
  • Process returned NEFT transaction from clearing as per approved DOI.
  • Process inward NEFT transaction as per approved DOI.
  • Process unapplied NEFT transaction from clearing as per approved DOI.
  • Ensure statistics of all Outward and Inward NEFT is maintained.
  • Collate all outward NEFT transfers for timely advise to Global Market (GM) and clearing for transmission.
  • Process all Remita inflow received as per DOI.
  • Process Remote cheques received from client via H2H.
  • Investigate payment entries and close open items.

Others

  • Identify and advise Domestic Payments Manager of any risk issue.
  • Respond promptly to all Domestic Payments inquiries and ensure log of customer complaints and errors are maintained.
  • Provide input/ideas/feedback to make improvements to processes and procedures within the unit.

Act as back up for Collections Officer.

  • Performing other duties as may be assigned by Domestic Payments Manager
  • Produce timely and accurate MIS for reporting purposes with respect to inward and outward NEFT, CBN inflows, book transfers and posted entries.
  • Ensure register for incoming customer instruction and held over are maintained.
  • Track and record customers complaints and errors for monthly KPI and risk management purposes.

  • The role holder is responsible for full end-to-end governance, oversight and reconciliation of Markets products for In-country Financial Markets trades across West African sites.

Strategy:

  • Oversight of Nostro and suspense breaks for West Africa.
  • Responsible for ensuring all Balance Sheet Substantiations are completed across West Africa on time. 

People & Talent:

  • Identify and foster local talent within the West Africa teams.
  • Consistent upskilling of team members through cross-training and support of soft skills development.
  • Provide clear vision and objectives to the West Africa teams.

  • Accountable for ensure team is aware of money laundering risks and understand key principles in relation to: Identifying your customer, knowing your customer, reporting suspicions, safeguarding records, and not disclosing suspicions to customers.  
  • Support Markets Business Client Solutions Cluster Head to execute risk and control responsibilities as a Country Process Owner.
  • Ensure operational incidents (losses or near misses) are logged in accordance with relevant polices.
  • Ensure root causes reports relating to operational incidents are completed in line with the Banks policies including meeting of all reporting timelines. This includes the implementation of any appropriate process and control changes to minimize the probability of a recurrence. 
  • Responsible for the proactive identification and escalation / reporting of all exceptions on non-compliance with standard controls.

Governance:

  • Provision of oversight for all process ensuring a sustainable level of control is applied to daily processes.
  • Undertaking trend analysis of performance benchmark standards (straight through processing attainment, query resolution turnaround times etc)
  • Accountable for all External and Internal audits and remediation management
  • Owner of country Service Level agreement (SLAs).
  • Define and review departmental performance metrics for local and outsourced process.

  • Responsible for pre-sales and delivery phase support of major projects in the field of optical networks, and accountable for the outcomes in this domain.

Position Overview

Project Security Manager

What is the role?

  • The Position is indirectly responsible for the Planning and Cost of the security architecture associated with the various opportunities in maturation to project execute phase.
  • With solid-line to the Country Security Manager but have a dotted-line reporting to the Project Directors and a strong working relationship with other relevant General Managers and Project Managers

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to ensure that every project has a cost effective, fit for purpose, risk-based security solution that reduce risks to ALARP and makes all stakeholders aware of the risks to the project.
  • Manage all security project security risks, execution and ensure seamless handover to the Asset Security Team upon completion.
  • Manage effective project security teams that are capably led, appropriately resourced, competent, and work together to achieve clearly defined outcomes
  • Manage the integration and implementation of security requirements/deliverables covered in security basis of design and security plans and ensure adequate coverage of security considerations in project execution strategy, EPC contracts, ITTs and bid evaluation.
  • Drive development and implementation of security management systems including interface, cost, assurance and monitoring/reporting across Wells and Projects.
  • Manage the development of all security deliverables required as per the Opportunity Realisation Standards (ORS).
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and standards as per Group Security Standards and the Group HSSE&SP Control Framework.
  • Influence, collaborate and support contractors and vendors engaged by the project to deliver effective and efficient security for all aspects of the project.
  • Understanding the security and geo-political dynamics across the Niger Delta and developing security concepts/plans to manage complex risks.
  • Working collaboratively and in an integrated way with cross-functional business partners.
  • Requires willingness to multitask under intense pressure and tight timelines.
  • Managing security logistics deployments for onshore and offshore activities.
  • Work closely with the CR and SE teams; including knowledge of appropriate technical security requirements.

What we need from you?

  • At least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution. Post graduate qualification in relevant fields will be an advantage.
  • A strong focus on end-to-end delivery of sustained, competitive, and affordable projects.
  • Strong focus on outcomes and meaningfully apply good project management practices, as reflected in the Project Management Framework (PMF).
  • Good knowledge of E&P business, especially in the Niger Delta and Gulf of Guinea.
  • At least 10 years of relevant Security experience
  • Strong program management, analytics, planning, communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work across teams and collaborate with others to deliver result.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and experience in leading and managing teams.

BN Principal Mechanical Static Engineer

The position reports to the Bonga North Topsides Delivery Lead and will provide Mechanical Static discipline support to the engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation/brownfield modification of all facilities; total additional topsides weight to be installed is ~1,500 metric tonnes (MT). Topside Upgrade involves installation of one new water injection turbine driven pump and an upgrade of one of the existing Bonga Main Injection pumps, addition of four new electric motor driven methanol injection pumps, addition of two corrosion inhibitor pumps, several tie-ins to existing systems, construction, installation, and integration of a new Subsea Control Building.

What you’ll be doing

  • Drive the implementation of mechanical static requirements in the design, fabrication, testing, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of assigned project. Ensure the final products delivered meet the applicable code requirements as well as the project scope of work and specifications.
  • Lead the mechanical static activities during detail design, fabrication, testing, installation, and support the commissioning in accordance with Company policies and standards.
  • Address mechanical static related technical queries and clarification questions from vendors and contractors during the detailed design activity.
  • Set up and manage appropriate systems required to assure integrity of the assigned project scope and support offshore installation/construction in line with design.
  • Ensure that all deliverables as defined in the Project Controls and Assurance Plan (PCAP) are completed and assured.
  • Drive the mechanical static equipment sizing, selection, and work packs development for the project including strategy for early tie-ins, equipment layout, piping general arrangement and fit for purpose HVAC system design for Switchgear & Subsea Control Building (SSCB).
  • Participate in all project reviews providing mechanical static discipline inputs.
  • Drive the identification, maturation and deployment of value adding mechanical static related initiatives and technologies to optimize assigned project scope.
  • Contribute to the development and deployment of fit for purpose quality plan and Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) including materials management procedure for the Project. Provide mechanical static discipline support in multiple worksites for fabrication works including SSCB contractor.
  • Drive the identification and lateral application of Mechanical static related learnings from other projects.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching for less experienced staff.
  • Contribute to the management of change process to ensure technical integrity, efficiency, and safety of facilities. 
  • Liaise with the broader mechanical engineering organization within Shell both locally and globally to ensure static packages leverage on latest technologies to deliver the project.
  • Provide authentic and visible leadership in the areas of HSSE, diversity, interpersonal and technical skills development, and cost leadership.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 10+ years in upstream E&P projects, with 8+ years focused on mechanical static equipment in deepwater environments.
  • COREN registered or eligible; IMechE registration preferred or in progress.
  • Strong expertise in design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of topside, subsea, and pipeline systems.
  • Proven ability to enforce global standards and optimize system designs for cost and performance.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and within global, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated track record in continuous improvement and change leadership.
  • Committed to HSE excellence and delivering project milestones under pressure.

  • Be responsible for managing existing customer relationship focusing on a deep understanding of the customers, their business, critical issues, growth, expansion plans and strategies.
  • Be responsible for engaging and managing customer relationships for maximum value and continuous improvement of SNG’s customers appreciation and loyalty to SNG’s brand and gas distribution business. 
  • Be responsible for enhancing SNG’s customer experience, building stronger customer relations towards optimum SEN customer service delivery
  • Be responsible for conducting market surveys, customer intelligence reports, providing business intelligence and improvement analysis as well as generating internal strategy documents and industry competitive landscape reports.

What you bring

  • BSc in a relevant field and 7+ years of experience in E&P, oil & gas, or gas distribution with deep knowledge of natural gas sales, marketing, trading, regulation, and commercial operations
  • Proven track record in commercial, sales, marketing, and business development in complex, multi-stakeholder environments in Nigeria; experience with gas commercial roles or local distribution companies is a plus
  • Strong understanding of commercial deal structuring and commercial agreements such as gas supply, sales, transportation, and infrastructure development
  • Skilled in building trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Customer-focused and customer centric with the ability to identify, develop, and secure business opportunities and drive gas sales growth
  • Strong negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and entrepreneurial mindset focused on maximizing value and profitability
